About this generation

The second-generation Edge built on the CD4 architecture brought global sales and a performance ST edition.

Launching for 2015, the second-generation Edge expanded to global markets using the CD4 platform. The exterior design displayed sculpted body panels, a hexagonal front grille, and full-width LED rear illumination. European specification models offered efficient 2.0-liter TDCi and EcoBlue turbodiesel engines.

North American options featured a 2.0-liter EcoBoost and a 2.7-liter twin-turbo V6. Developed by Ford Performance, the Edge ST produced 335 horsepower with sport suspension tuning and AWD. 2027 Ford Ranger To Replace 2.7-Liter V6 With Detuned 3.0-Liter Twin-Turbo Engine
