The second-generation Ford Aspire is a subcompact sub-four-meter sedan created for India and emerging markets based on the Figo hatchback.
The second-generation Ford Aspire (initially introduced as the Ford Figo Aspire) entered production in 2015 at Ford's plant in Sanand, India. Built on the Ford B2E platform, the sedan was specifically tailored to comply with Indian tax regulations for vehicles under 4 meters in length. It featured modern styling with Ford's signature trapezoidal front grille and was sold across India, South Africa, and South American markets.
The powertrain range included a 1.2-liter Ti-VCT gasoline engine, a 1.5-liter TDCi four-cylinder turbodiesel, and a 1.5-liter gasoline engine paired with a Powershift dual-clutch transmission. In 2018, the sedan underwent a facelift, adopting new 3-cylinder Dragon series gasoline engines (1.2L and 1.5L), a 6-speed torque-converter automatic transmission replacing the dual-clutch unit, a refreshed interior, and SYNC 3 infotainment. Production ceased in 2021 when Ford wound down manufacturing operations in India.
