Fiat Tipo I (160) gallery (1988–1995)
A compact hatchback, innovative for its time, which won the 1989 'Car of the Year' award.
The first Tipo was a milestone for Fiat thanks to its advanced design and use of galvanized body panels for corrosion protection. Its spacious cabin, digital dashboard, and high reliability allowed it to compete successfully with the Volkswagen Golf. The model became a symbol of late-80s Italian engineering, offering excellent ergonomics and passenger comfort, which was rare for budget cars of those years.
