About this generation
The first generation of the Dongfeng M-Hero X700 featuring a unibody construction, Bedrock 2.0 chassis, and Huawei electronics.
The first-generation Dongfeng M-Hero X700 debuted as the brand's first model built with a unibody structure rather than a traditional ladder frame. Based on the Bedrock 2.0 chassis, it features a double-wishbone front suspension and a five-link rear axle, paired with dual-chamber air springs and magnetorheological dampers that offer 150 mm of ride height adjustment across six fixed levels.
Powering the SUV is a plug-in hybrid system centered around a 113 kW 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine and dual electric motors rated at 190 kW (255 hp) in the front and 215 kW (288 hp) in the rear. The setup enables a 0 to 100 km/h sprint in 4.93 seconds. Two CATL-sourced lithium iron phosphate battery options are offered: a 51.46 kWh pack providing up to 285 km of CLTC range, and a 68.10 kWh pack extending the range to 360 km.
The cabin introduces Huawei's HarmonySpace 6 cockpit layout with two 15.6-inch 2.5K screens and a 74-inch Huawei XHUD augmented reality head-up display. Advanced driver assistance is powered by the Huawei ADS 5 suite, utilizing 27 sensors including a LiDAR unit, and supporting off-road navigation assistance (NCA), roaming assistance (RCA), and programmable exterior displays.
