Rugged off-road style hybrid crossover with unibody construction, dual-motor all-wheel drive, and adaptive air suspension.

Debuting in early 2024 under the internal project code C318, the Deepal G318 is a rugged mid-size crossover SUV named in honor of China's iconic Highway 318 route to Tibet. The vehicle showcases a distinct cyber-offroad design language characterized by boxy proportions, heavy-duty lower body cladding, a side-hinged rear tailgate mounting a full-size spare tire, and factory roof spotlight arrays. Despite its aggressive off-road appearance, the G318 utilizes a rigid unibody chassis boasting an impressive torsional rigidity of 45,000 Nm/degree, ensuring car-like ride refinement and structural integrity. Chassis features include an independent suspension setup paired with adaptive dampers and height-adjustable air springs providing ground clearance up to 240 mm. The G318 is powered exclusively by an EREV range-extended hybrid system incorporating a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that acts solely as a generator. Drive configurations range from a single-motor rear-wheel-drive version producing 252 horsepower to a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system delivering 430 horsepower. Equipped with an ET-i intelligent terrain management system and electronic differential locks, the G318 offers great capability for overland expedition travel across various terrains.
