The Sandero II built on its predecessor's success with a modern interior and revised styling. The model gained improved safety ratings and more electronic assistance systems. The Stepway version evolved into a distinct trim line accounting for a large portion of sales. Major updates included increased body rigidity and the introduction of efficient TCe turbocharged engines replacing older naturally aspirated units.
