A microcar developed for fuel economy during times of shortages.
The Dacia 500 Lăstun was an attempt to create a highly affordable and economical city car. It was powered by a 500cc two-cylinder engine and featured a fiberglass body. Due to poor build quality and reliability issues, the car failed to achieve success and was quickly discontinued following the political regime change in Romania.
