2027 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport and 721-HP Grand Sport X Compared in Track and Road Tests
The 2027 Chevrolet Corvette C8 lineup adds the rear-wheel-drive Grand Sport and all-wheel-drive hybrid Grand Sport X, both powered by a new 535-hp 6.7-liter LS6 V-8. While the lighter RWD model focuses on sharp track handling, the 721-hp hybrid X variant reaches 60 mph in 2.4 seconds and emphasizes everyday road composure.

Corvette Chief Engineer Confirms Plans for an All-Electric Sports Car
General Motors executive chief engineer for Corvette Tony Roma confirmed that the automaker remains committed to developing an all-electric Chevrolet Corvette. While Roma emphasized that battery-electric sports cars are the ultimate end game, GM has not set a release date and plans to continue producing combustion V8 and hybrid models alongside the EV.
