The first generation of the Changan CS75 Plus mid-size SUV was produced from 2019 to 2024, becoming one of China's top-selling crossovers thanks to its bold design.
Debuting at the Shanghai Auto Show in 2019, the first-generation Changan CS75 Plus established itself as a flagship crossover offering superior equipment compared to the base CS75. The vehicle featured an aggressive front grille, distinctive red body accents, and an athletic body profile. Built on a front-wheel-drive architecture with an independent multi-link rear suspension, optional all-wheel drive was offered on select trims. Powertrain options consisted of two Blue Whale turbocharged petrol engines: a 1.5-liter unit generating 178 horsepower mated to a six-speed Aisin automatic, and a 2.0-liter engine developing 233 horsepower paired with an eight-speed Aisin automatic. The interior featured dual 12.3-inch digital displays, premium leatherette upholstery, panoramic sunroof, and an integrated smart driving suite. The model underwent major cosmetic updates in 2022 and 2023, retaining strong sales momentum until its replacement in 2024.
