Cadillac Escalade EXT I (GMT800) photos

The first-generation Cadillac Escalade EXT luxury crew-cab pickup was produced from 2002 through 2006 on GM's full-size GMT800 truck platform. Blending the opulence of the Escalade SUV with pickup versatility, it featured the reconfigurable Midgate bulkhead system. The Midgate panel behind the rear seats folded flat alongside the removable rear window glass to extend the composite cargo bed length from 5.3 feet to 8.1 feet. Exterior styling mirrored the Escalade front fascia with a bold chrome grille and integrated fog lamps.

Propulsion was supplied exclusively by a 6.0-liter High-Output Vortec 6000 V8 engine generating 345 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque. The engine mated to a heavy-duty 4L65-E four-speed automatic transmission and a full-time all-wheel-drive (AWD) system. Factory appointments offered premium leather seating, Road Sensing Suspension with automatic rear leveling, automatic climate control, and a Bose audio system.
