Launched in 2021, the second-generation BYD e6 transitions to a modern MPV architecture featuring Dragon Face styling and high-safety Blade Battery technology.
The second-generation BYD e6 compact MPV debuted in 2021, adopting a completely revamped structural design closely shared with the BYD Song Max. Moving away from the utilitarian styling of its predecessor, the vehicle incorporates BYD signature Dragon Face front fascia, slim LED headlights, and an aerodynamic overall profile. Built on an evolved e-Platform, the chassis features front-wheel drive and a refined suspension setup optimized for ride comfort and efficiency. A key advancement of this generation is the integration of BYD structural Blade Battery, which packs a 71.7 kWh LFP capacity into a slim unit. The front-mounted permanent magnet AC electric motor delivers 70 kW of power and 180 Nm of torque through a single-reduction gearbox, achieving a WLTP combined range of 415 kilometers. Inside, the passenger compartment features a 10.1-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system running DiLink software, keyless entry, push-button start, and automatic climate control with air filtration. The second generation is marketed primarily as a fleet vehicle, taxi, and private MPV across India, Singapore, Thailand, Australia, and select European markets.
