Bugatti Tourbillon I gallery (2024–present)
The Bugatti Tourbillon is an all-new flagship hybrid hypercar featuring a naturally aspirated V16 engine paired with three electric motors.
The first-generation Bugatti Tourbillon was unveiled in June 2024 as the ground-up successor to the Chiron. The vehicle is built on an entirely new next-generation carbon-fiber monocoque chassis that integrates battery packaging and crash structures directly into the composite tub. The body is a two-door, two-seat coupe featuring dihedral butterfly doors and advanced active aerodynamics with an integrated rear diffuser. The powertrain is an 1800 hp plug-in hybrid setup combining an 8.3-liter naturally aspirated V16 engine developed with Cosworth (producing 1000 hp and revving to 9000 rpm) with three electric motors: two on the front axle offering independent torque vectoring and one mounted at the rear axle. Power is routed through an 8-speed longitudinal dual-clutch transmission to an all-wheel-drive layout. A 24.8 kWh high-voltage oil-cooled battery provides an electric-only range of over 60 km. Compared to the preceding Chiron, the Tourbillon completely abandons the quad-turbocharged W16 architecture in favor of a hybrid electric-assisted naturally aspirated engine, featuring a bespoke mechanical skeletonized titanium gauge cluster. Production is limited to 250 units worldwide for global collector markets across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
