Bugatti EB 110 I gallery (1991–1995)

The first-generation Bugatti EB 110 was unveiled in September 1991 to commemorate the 110th anniversary of founder Ettore Bugatti. The car set unprecedented benchmarks in automotive engineering by utilizing the world's first production carbon-fiber monocoque chassis, developed in cooperation with aerospace manufacturer Aerospatiale. Styled by Marcello Gandini and Giampaolo Benedini, the vehicle featured a distinctive mid-engine two-seat coupe configuration with scissor doors and speed-sensitive active rear aerodynamics. It was powered by a bespoke 3.5-liter 60-valve 60-degree V12 engine equipped with four IHI turbochargers. The initial EB 110 GT variant produced 560 hp, while the lightweight EB 110 Super Sport (SS) introduced in 1992 delivered 612 hp. Power was delivered to all four wheels via a permanent four-wheel-drive system with a 27:73 front-to-rear torque split through a 6-speed manual transmission. Suspension consisted of unequal-length double wishbones with pushrod dampers. The EB 110 was marketed to ultra-high-net-worth buyers in Europe, the United States, and Japan before production at the Campogalliano factory ended in 1995.
