The fourth-generation M3 arrived in 2007 offering coupe (E92), sedan (E90), and hardtop convertible (E93) variants. Breaking with six-cylinder tradition, BMW fitted a bespoke 4.0-liter naturally aspirated S65 V8 engine that revved to a screaming 8,300 rpm with unforgettable induction acoustics.

Equipped with a carbon-fiber reinforced plastic roof on the coupe and an optional lightning-fast dual-clutch transmission (M-DCT), the E90/E92/E93 blended supercar-rivaling engine notes with effortless daily luxury, securing a unique place in M history.
