The E60 sedan and E61 Touring shocked the automotive world in 2003 with avant-garde styling, concave flame-surfaced panels, and sweeping headlight brows. Inside, it ushered the brand into the digital era with the iDrive infotainment controller, electronic gear selector, and an available head-up display, completely reinventing the cabin experience.

Technically innovative, the E60 introduced Active Steering and an aluminum front chassis structure bonded to a steel passenger cell for ideal weight distribution. It remains memorable for pushing stylistic boundaries and serving as the home for the screeching Formula 1-derived V10 engine in the legendary M5.
