The Baojun RC-6 debuted at the 2019 Chengdu Auto Show as an innovative mid-size crossover sedan blending a sleek fastback body with 180 mm of SUV-like ground clearance. Measuring 4925 mm in total length with a 2800 mm wheelbase, the RC-6 offered exceptional presence and high seating ergonomics. Power was generated by a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine developing 147 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a continuous variable transmission (CVT). Inside, a dual 12.3-inch widescreen display setup dominated the dashboard, supported by Bosch Level 2 driver assist systems. Production concluded in 2021. Produced by the SAIC-GM-Wuling joint venture, Baojun vehicles have built a strong reputation for practical utility, mechanical reliability, and accessible pricing.
