Baojun 630 I gallery (2011–2019)

The Baojun 630 launched in August 2011 as the very first vehicle created by the joint-venture brand Baojun. Engineered using General Motors technology on a modified Buick Excelle platform, the 630 sedan measured 4597 mm long with a 2640 mm wheelbase. Engine options included a 1.5-liter four-cylinder making 112 horsepower and a 1.8-liter engine generating 143 horsepower, paired with 5-speed manual or 6-speed GM automatic gearboxes. A major redesign in 2016 introduced updated LED lighting, a reshaped grille, and a modernized interior console. The 630 was also exported to international markets such as Egypt and Algeria rebadged as the Chevrolet Optra. Production ran through 2019. Produced by the SAIC-GM-Wuling joint venture, Baojun vehicles have built a strong reputation for practical utility, mechanical reliability, and accessible pricing.
