The Baojun 560 debuted in mid-2015 as the first crossover SUV offered by the Baojun brand. Built upon the front-wheel-drive platform derived from the 730 MPV, the 560 boasted class-leading rear legroom and cargo capacity within its 4620 mm body length and 2750 mm wheelbase. Initial models used a 1.8-liter naturally aspirated engine producing 137 horsepower with a 5-speed manual transmission, while later updates introduced a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine making 150 horsepower mated to a 6-speed manual or 6-speed dual-clutch transmission. A 7-seat configuration joined the lineup in 2017. Before being succeeded by the Baojun 530 in 2018, the 560 set sales records as one of the fastest-selling SUVs in the Chinese market. Produced by the SAIC-GM-Wuling joint venture, Baojun vehicles have built a strong reputation for practical utility, mechanical reliability, and accessible pricing.
