Unveiled at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, the third-generation Audi TT (chassis code 8S) was built upon the Volkswagen Group MQB architecture. The exterior aesthetic drew inspiration from the original 8N while adding sharp modern creases, Matrix LED headlights, and placing the Audi rings badge on the hood in supercar fashion. Both Coupe and Roadster models were produced.

The 8S made history by debuting the 12.3-inch Audi virtual cockpit, which eliminated the traditional central dashboard screen by integrating navigation and infotainment directly into the driver's display instrument cluster. Powered by 1.8 TFSI and 2.0 TFSI engines with quattro AWD, the 8S concluded the icon's 25-year production history in 2023. The model fully reflected the premium status of the automaker and its commitment to technological leadership in its class.
