About the model
The Audi RS Q3 debuted in 2013 as generation I (8U), marking the first crossover engineered by Audi Sport. Built in an SUV body style, it distinguished itself with aggressive aerodynamics and larger air inlets. Power came from a turbocharged inline five-cylinder TFSI engine mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch S tronic transmission and quattro all-wheel drive. A mid-cycle refresh brought revised front styling and updated engine calibrations.
In 2019, the second generation (F3) was introduced, moving to the modular MQB architecture. This transition provided greater structural rigidity and enlarged dimensions while retaining the five-door SUV form. The styling shifted to sharper creases, an octagonal Singleframe grille, and updated LED light signatures.
Under the hood, the F3 generation retains the five-cylinder TFSI power unit paired with the S tronic transmission and quattro system. The running gear features a lowered sport suspension, reinforced performance brakes, and available adaptive dampers. Generation II remains in active production.
