The original Audi e-tron (GE) was Audi's pioneer mass-production electric SUV, later rebranded as the Q8 e-tron.
Unveiled in late 2018 in San Francisco, the Audi e-tron (chassis code GE) held historic significance as Audi's first mass-produced fully electric vehicle. Engineered upon a modified MLB Evo platform, the full-size crossover preserved traditional Audi luxury aesthetics while pioneering virtual side cameras in place of side mirrors, outputting onto door-mounted OLED screens.
Equipped with dual electric motors for instantaneous e-quattro all-wheel drive, adaptive air suspension, and a 95 kWh battery, the GE set high standards for refinement. In late 2022, Audi refreshed the model and renamed it the Audi Q8 e-tron, upgrading battery capacity up to 114 kWh for an extended range of up to 600 km.
