About the model
The first-generation Audi A1 arrived in 2010 on a compact front-wheel-drive platform, establishing a premium presence in the urban subcompact category. It featured turbocharged inline petrol and diesel engines paired with either manual transmissions or dual-clutch automated gearboxes. A mid-cycle update refined its exterior lighting signatures and refreshed the cabin equipment.
The second generation introduced in 2018 transitioned to the modular MQB architecture, retaining the versatile hatchback layout with expanded cabin space and an elongated wheelbase.
