The third-generation Alpine A110 sports coupe, built on the bespoke Alpine Performance Platform (APP) featuring dual rear electric motors and lightweight dynamics.

The third generation of the Alpine A110 sports coupe is built on the dedicated Alpine Performance Platform (APP). Unlike its predecessor, which utilized an aluminum mid-engine chassis with an internal combustion engine, the new model was designed from the ground up as a bespoke electric sports car. The vehicle retains a two-door coupe body style with lightweight construction and an engineered weight balance aimed at preserving agile sports car handling characteristics.

The powertrain features two electric motors mounted on the rear axle, maintaining the rear-wheel-drive dynamics of the A110 lineage. The traction battery pack and thermal management system have been calibrated to sustain at least 20 minutes of continuous high-performance track driving without power derating. While the flexible APP architecture can theoretically accommodate a combustion engine as a backup solution, the vehicle is engineered primarily as a battery-electric model.

Compared to the second generation, which relied on a 1.8-liter turbocharged inline-four engine paired with a dual-clutch transmission, the third-generation A110 transitions entirely to electric propulsion. In addition to the powertrain overhaul, the new generation introduces an updated cockpit architecture with extensive customization options and facilitates Alpine's expansion into North American markets, where the previous gasoline generation was never certified for sale.
