Alpine unveiled the A310 Vision sports car concept built on the APP platform
At the 2026 Paris Motor Show, Alpine introduced the A310 Vision concept, reviving one of the French brand's most significant historical models. While other French manufacturers focused on retro-inspired hatchbacks and city runabouts, Alpine moved in an aggressive sports car direction, creating a low-slung, wide-bodied coupe designed to rival the Porsche 911. The debut is timed to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the original four-cylinder A310 from 1971 and the 50th anniversary of its subsequent V6 variant.
The A310 Vision measures 4.55 meters (179.1 inches) in length, 2.03 meters (79.9 inches) across the rear fenders, and stands just 1.18 meters (46.5 inches) tall, with a wheelbase of 2.45 meters (96.5 inches). Its exterior styling harmonizes cues from both historical eras, combining the cleaner lines of the early four-cylinder cars with the muscular flared arches of the V6. The lightweight aluminum bodywork is contrasted by a black lower aero section shaped by Formula 1-inspired surface design, distinctive arrow-spoke wheels, and semi-transparent cockpit glazing.
Several functional styling details define the exterior, including headlights that pop downward when the car turns on, an S-shaped airflow duct in the hood, a longitudinal dorsal blade, and a two-piece rear spoiler with transparent elements. The thin blade-like taillights also double as aerodynamic diffusers. Inside, the cabin features organically sculpted seats, bold trim contrasts, and physical switchgear inspired by high-end audio hardware, deliberately steering clear of an all-touchscreen arrangement.
The concept is engineered around the dedicated Alpine Performance Platform (APP), an architecture developed to underpin the marque's upcoming generation of production electric sports cars, including the successor to the A110. While Alpine has not shared output, battery, or performance specifications, the A310 Vision is currently intended as a one-off design study demonstrating the potential of the APP platform rather than an immediate production announcement. It joins an expanding Alpine lineup that already includes the A290 hot hatchback and the A390 fastback crossover.
