The new pickup from Toyota
The new generation Toyota Tundra is built on the same platform as the Land Cruiser 300.
The truck will be produced at a plant in Texas and will go on sale in the U.S. at the end of 2021. Prices have not been named yet.
The third-generation Tundra is equipped with a 3.5-liter six-cylinder engine that produces 394 horsepower, 649 Nm. The motor works with a ten-speed automatic. Two drive options are available - rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive with a downshift.
The hybrid variant of the Toyota Tundra will have 443 hp and 790 Nm of torque. The 3.5-liter engine in this model will work in conjunction with an electric motor.
The Tundra TRD Pro grade will have increased ground clearance, Fox shock absorbers, reinforced underbody protection, and Falken mud tires.
Two versions of the cab were named Double Cab and CrewMax, for the larger version. The truck is equipped with a cargo platform with aluminum inserts, T-shaped running lights, an updated grille with an integrated LED strip, and the additional diode running lights.
Base versions have an 8-inch multimedia screen and an analog dashboard. More advanced versions have a 14-inch touchscreen and digital dashboard. The Toyota Tundra is equipped with a navigation system, a safety package, cruise control, lane control, and pedestrian and bicycle detection.
