Impending Recall for Camry Hybrid
American periodical called Consumer Reports demands a recall from Toyota.
If the demand becomes fulfilled, almost 178,000 units of hybrid cars manufactured for model years 2007 – 2011 are going to be recalled to fix power brakes. Recall is a final and, most probably, the last resort with Consumer Reports journalists’ claim being unsatisfied by the mild measures offered by Toyota.
Currently an investigation engaging the profile American safety agency is being carried over. Representative of the Japanese automaker has informed the press that certain steps are being made in the direction of fixing breaking performance including inflexibility of this detail. Previously National Highway Traffic Safety Administration dealt with the batch of 2007 – 2008 saloons of the same model looking into almost 60 claims from drivers.
Meanwhile, the owners of Toyota Camry vehicles of the abovementioned model years have received a triple benefit of brake actuator extended warranty in terms of duration.
