2014 Toyota Tacoma Receives SR Package, Dumps X-Runner Version
Remaining mostly untouched since its premiere in 2012, the current-gen Toyota Tacoma receives several upgrades for the 2014 model year.
The rest of the 2014 Toyota lineup now benefits from Entune Stereo and the Tacoma pickup is not an exception. With the Entune Stereo, the Tacoma also receives its backup camera display moved to the head unit rather than the rear-view mirror.
Moreover, the top-selling compact pickup truck in North America receives a sporty fresh SR appearance package. The SR appearance package is offered for the Tacoma PreRunner and 4×4 Access Cab and Double Cab base grade versions and adds a sporty look with color-matched exterior pieces featuring overfenders, door handles, bumpers, grille surround and mirrors with turn signals. The headlight lenses are also smoked while the 16-inch Baja wheels sport a black finish.
Toyota also informed that the Tacoma X-Runner sport vehicle has been axed for 2014.
The 2014 Toyota Tacoma will cost from $18,735 featuring an $860 delivery fee. In comparison to the 2013 model year, the 2014 Tacoma gets a $100 price increase.
