Pagani hints at new Nurburgring lap record
Pagani has shared a hint about its plans. The lap record should be improved!
A Facebook post reveals that the producer from Italy brought back memories of the road-going Zonda F that was able to set a new lap record. It posted the time of 7:27:82 9 years ago in September. Marc Basseng was at the helm then. The last sentence says “to be continued. We suppose that the producer wants to reclaim the title.
The model’s identity has not been revealed. We suggest that it is a road-legal vehicle as the producer called the Zonda F a “road going” car. The Huayra BC might be it. Probably the record has been already set. The thing is that the model was driven by Basseng almost a month ago at the Nürburgring.
The record should be 6 minutes and 48 seconds. It was established back in 2009 by Michael Vergers in a Radical SR8 LM. Though, it is not legal everywhere. 3 years ago the 918 Spyder achieved a 6:57 time. Marc Lieb was at the helm. This one is road legal around the globe.
