Opel Cascada equipped with a New 2.0L Diesel Engine
Opel has presented its latest 2.0-litre CDTI diesel engine for the Cascada with a folding head.
The identical unit debuted not long ago for the Zafira Tourer and Insignia offerings. The engine can generate 170 hp (or 125 kW) and torque of 400 Nm (or 295 lb-ft). In comparison with the previous model, the new powertrain benefits 3% more power and 14% more torque.
The automaker assures that the Euro Cascada 2.0 CDTI will consume approximately 4.9 litres per 100 km in combined cycle while riding with a six-speed manual gear box. It is also claimed to emit 129 g/km CO2. This can be considered as a 6% improvement. The car makes 0-62 mph (or 0-100 km/h) in 10.2 seconds. Its top speed is 135 mph (or 218 km/h).
The new Cascada will cost starting from 30,500 EUR (or 34,400 USD) with VAT in Germany.
