A Hardcore Off-Road SVX Derivative of Next-Gen Land Rover Defender
British press stated that the next-gen Land Rover Defender will enrich the range with a more off-road focused SVX variant.
John Edwards, Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations Managing Chief, announced at the beginning of May that the automaker is going to launch more off-road variants. It looks like the first offering to boast this treatment will be the next-generation Defender. The standard variant will come out in 2016 and the SVX derivative will probably reach dealerships in a year or a year and a half after that.
There are no any details about what SVO will change in the new Defender. Though, all the enhancements will definitely make the car an even more capable cross-country vehicle. Earlier Edwards revealed that there is a significant demand for hardcore 4x4s. Therefore, JLR wishes a piece of the action with their SVX-badged derivatives.
