Release of Powerful 2016 Jaguar XE SVR

In September a new XE saloon will bow to the public, and in two more years an SVR variant will follow.

With the mentioned launch Jaguar is planning to rival a similar BMW M3. The competition benefit will be presented by a supercharged eight-cylinder with the displacement of 5.0 litres producing 489 bhp. Automatic gearbox will have eight speeds that still would be faster than those of the standard offering. A rough four-second sprint can be assumed by such a powerplant for the car. Maximum speed will be limited to 155 mph.

A couple of other new details are going to be installed in the sports sedan. They include more massive brakes, altered rear differential and suspension. Exhaust is also planned to be replaced to a more effective one, and the corresponding design will follow. The latter, namely, implies beefier front bumper, remodelled rear one and wheels increased in diameter.

Special Vehicle Operations team, now a single department for Jaguar and Land Rover, will be fully responsible for the release, which is planned for the beginning of 2016. Approximate price is set at £60,000.
