Santa Cruz from Hyundai will not be labelled as Pickup Truck
Hyundai has revealed some significant hints about production of their interesting Santa Cruz.
CEO of Hyundai U.S. tells in his interview with CarAdvice that the Santa Cruz is very significant to them since a production variant will be appealing for a new clientele who want to obtain trucks. According to the scheme, the car will reach the assembly line-up in two years. Though, the car will not be labelled as a regular pickup truck.
Zuchowski also tells that the model will combine the comfort of a crossover with the practicality of a pickup bed. He specifies that this particular concept is not about ground clearance, payload, towing capacity or being on a work site and having sheet-rock in the rear part of the car. The CEO stressed that the model is not a pick-up truck.
It does not matter how the company calls the offering, since the production variant will follow almost the same philosophy as Subaru’s Brumby and Baja Crew Cab offerings, just like as the Holden Crewman and Proton Jumbuck.
