Honda S660 spied by Paparazzi in Production Outlook
The Honda S660 has been caught in its production guise in Japan before she reached the dealerships.
The automaker previewed an innovated key vehicle in November two years ago with the help of a homonym concept that was presented at the Motor Show in Tokyo. Finally, the production car was developed from this concept. The producer preserved most of the concept’s styling. Only lighting clusters were slightly toned down, wheels grew smaller and interior cabin landed more down to earth.
The S660, which is oriented on Japan, will be a spiritual ascendant of the Honda Beat. The vehicle will have 3395mm in length; will be 1475mm wide and 1180mm tall. The car will be powered by a 660cc V4 turbo engine generating 64 hp (or 47 kW) and torque of 104 Nm (or 77 lb-ft). These characteristics allow the tiny roadster reach a top speed of 87 mph (or 140 km/h). The S660 can be optionally equipped with a regular six-speed manual transmission or a CVT. Its weight is 1,830 lbs (or 830 kg).
Some reports assure that a high performance S1000 variant is going to be sold outside its native country. It is said to be equipped with a more powerful 1.0-litre turbocharged engine able to produce more than 140 hp (or 103 kW). On approval to come out in the next year, the hotter offering might be co-developed with Mugen. Also it should come with bigger wheels and gain more aggressive body. A completely electric variant is being developed now, but the automaker has not confirmed these rumours yet.
