V6 and V8 Engines for Chevy Camaro 1LE
Several days ago a rumour about the 1LE pack for next year’s Camaro appeared and the automaker made an official statement right away.
The model will be introduced in Chicago next week. The model will feature V6 and V8 motors. The six-cylinder engine together with 1LE pack takes its roots from the LT trim and has lots of mechanical tweaks. For example, there will be the SS-derived FE3 suspension with stabilizer bars. Besides, there will be 4-piston Brembo callipers on the vehicle’s front axle and a mechanical limited slip differential with a 3.27 ratio.
The six-cylinder offering will boast 20-inch forget alloys wrapped in Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres. They measure 245/40 R20 at the front and 275/35 R20 at the rear. Expect to see the SS-based fuesl set-up, Recaro seats, a video/data recording system and a track cooling pack (that comes with engine oil, differential and transmission coolers). From the exterior you will see bespoke high flow upper and lower enclosure featuring satin black accents. The accents can be also seen on the front splitter, three-piece rear spoiler and hood.
Upgrading your vehicle to the Camaro SS 1LE you will receive an innovated FE4 suspension that features special tuning for the stabilizer bars, Magnetic Ride dampers and springs. Its electronic limited slip differential has ratio of 3.73. The upgraded model also benefits from a dual mode exhaust set-up.
As to the eight-cylinder 1LE pack, there will be a track-cooling package and Recaro front seats. You will be pleased with satin black accents. The 20-inch wheels will be wrapped in 285/30 ZR20 front and 305/30 ZR20 rear tyres.
The price remains unknown for now. The 2017 Chevy Camaro 1LE will arrive at the Auto Show in Chicago this week.
