See the envisioned BMW 8-Series Ultimate Coupe
Hungarian designer X-Tomi came back with one more virtual envisioning of the latest BMW 7-Series.
After the M7 and Touring variants, the famous designer has developed an outstanding coupe variant with the name 8-Series. It reminds the body of the 6-Series Coupe, but has longer wheelbase. At the same time, its front end is inspired by 7-Series. The vehicle also has the regular sloping roofline for the coupe line-up.
The 8-Series was produced from 1989 to 1999. More than 31,000 units were manufactured. The flagship offering for the Bavarian automaker was sold with eight-cylinder and twelve-cylinder engines then. It had electronically limited top speed of 155 mph (or 250 km/h).
The automaker even intended to offer a range-topping M8 variant. Though, the project was abolished. The producer made only one prototype of the offering. According to different reports, the brand has locked the model away as it was not safe for road use. The car was shown to paparazzi just one time at The Legends of the Autobahn car show held in California.
