Next Year's BMW M6 GTLM will be presented at Daytona
The next year’s M6 GTLM race vehicle from BMW will make appear in the U.S. for the first time at Daytona International Speedway on November 17 and 18.
The automaker’s Team RLL will take part at the IMSA test. It is preparing to campaign two M6 GTLM race vehicles in the next year’s IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship. Not long ago the race vehicle finished its first American test. It took place at Sebring International Raceway in October. An M6 GT3 also participated. It will provide the foundation for the company’s global racing project. The German producer assures that this test gained success. It provides the chance for Trent Hindman, this year’s BMW Motorsport Junior driver, to check out 2014 Z4 GTLM race vehicle.
It will be the 8th successful racing BMW Team RLL season in North America. The next year’s M6 GTLM from BMW is going to become the 3rd company’s offering campaigned by the famous team after the M3 and Z4 race vehicles that were present in the last 7 seasons. Totally, the automaker’s Team RLL could be seen on 57 podiums and with 13 wins. The team was 2nd in the GTLM range Manufacturer, Team and Drivers championships in 2014.
The next year’s IMSA WeatherTech sports vehicle championship will start on January 30 and 31. It will take place at the 54th annual Rolex 24 at Daytona.
