M Performance Kit for BMW M2
We all have seen the reveal of the BMW M2 this October. It looks like the producer has not prepared all the promised extra equipment for it.
The sports model has already got a rather aggressive body kit. The automaker is working on a more aerodynamically-optimized M Performance package. Several spy snapshots were uploaded on BimmerPost. The set proves that we could wait for some cool equipment to the aero kit. There can be a little bit reshaped front aprons, larger boot lid, new side skirts and a modified diffuser at the rear part.
The new M Performance exhaust set-up will probably be the most awaited modification. Its pipes will be a little bit larger than the regular set-up.
These details differ from the ones the automaker used for the M2 at the SEMA. Sometime earlier in November we could see a blacked out kidney grille having a glossy black surround, carbon fibber finished rear spoiler, sports helm wrapped in Alcantara and side mirror caps.
Any technical changes should not be awaited. Expect the already-known 3.0-litre m TwinPower Turbo engine that is able to generate 365 hp (or 268 kW) and torque of 343 lb-ft (or 464 Nm) with 369 lb-ft (or 499 Nm) overboost function. Ordering a regular six-speed manual gearbox, you will get a 0-62 mph (or 0-100 km/h) sprint in just 4.4 seconds. Meanwhile, you can optionally obtain seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox with 0.2 seconds faster sprint.
