Fresh BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupe Revealed
BMW and Pininfarina are united to construct a pretty concept model that was revealed on Friday: the BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupé.
“The result of this collaboration is much bigger than the sum of its parts,” informs Fabio Filippini, Chief of Design at Pininfarina. “When two such history-rich and well-known automakers unite power to turn a vision into reality, something really new and marvelous happens.”
This vehicle may slightly represent what we might see if BMW succeeds with the resurrection of the 8 Series.
The 4-seat coupe was created for display at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2013. Under the hood is a V12, though details were not revealed, as the design is the most important reason for this one off.
Regular BMW grilles are placed on the front end, while long flowing lines and taut surfaces provide the rest of the vehicle a classy upscale look and feel. Huge 21-inch wheels compliment the swoopy curves and brilliant proportions of this newest Pininfarina design.
Inside, the car includes top-grade leather from the Foglizzo leather plant in black and a light shade of Tobacco Brown with kauri wood which is more than 48,000 years old. The kauri wood is native to New Zealand, and is one of the most expensive and ancient timbers in the world.
