Formula E presents its BMW X5 xDrive40e Rescue Car
BMW has revealed the last X5 xDricve40e rescue car for this and next year’s Formula E.
The model under consideration will stand together with the i8 pace car and i3 medical vehicle. It received strobe lights, a LED light bar placed on the roof and a lot of communication facilities. The offering can boast bicolour alloy wheels. Besides it has Rescue Car / Formula E emblem.
The model under consideration is a plug-in hybrid vehicle. It is equipped with a 2.0-litre turbocharged V4 mill along with an electric motor. Besides, it is equipped with a 9 kWh lithium-ion battery set. All these features allow to generate a total power output of 313 hp (or 230 kW) and torque of 332 lb-ft (or 450 Nm). This offering is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in only 6.8 seconds. Meanwhile, its top speed is 210 km/h. The offering is capable of riding up to 19 miles on its electrical motor.
