Detailed Information about BMW's 330e Plug-in Hybrid before its Presentation
BMW has given some more information about the 330e plug-in hybrid which will be exposed during this year’s IAA.
The vehicle takes its origins from the 3-Series sedan. The offering is equipped with a hybrid system. This system consists of a 2.0-litre petrol motor generating 184 hp (or 135 kW) and an electronic engine producing 88 hp (or 65 kW) that supports the first one. When combined, these two motors are able to produce 252 hp (or 185 kW). The car’s top torque stands at 420 Nm (or 310 lb-ft).
These power numbers give a possibility for the car to accelerate form 0 to 62 mph (or 0-100 km/h) in just 6.1 seconds. The vehicles top speed is 140 mph (or 226 km/h). According to the automaker, its creation averages 1.9-2.1 1/100 km with 44-49 g/km emissions of CO2.
The Bavarian brand says that its hybrid car can ride up to 25 miles (or 40 km) on only electronic performance. It also speeds up to 75 mph (or 120 km/h) while its total range is 373 miles (or 600 km).
