BMW's Next-Generation M4 to Go Electric-Only
BMW's Bold Transition
In a surprising move, BMW has decided to offer the next-generation M4 exclusively as an electric vehicle. The decision sets it apart from its counterpart, the upcoming M3, which will be available in both combustion-powered and electric versions.
Futuristic Design and Powerful Performance
According to insider sources, the electric M4 will feature a completely new design that departs from the model's current styling. It will be built on BMW's Neue Klasse platform and will incorporate the cutting-edge technologies and hardware seen in the electric M3.
The exact specifications regarding horsepower and performance remain unknown. However, the platform is capable of producing up to 1,340 horsepower, although it is expected that BMW will settle for around 700 horsepower for both the electric M3 and M4. This power output would rival that of the current M5.
Awaiting the Arrival
Enthusiasts will have to exercise patience, as the launch of the electric M4 is not expected until at least 2028. BMW is still in the early stages of designing the vehicle, and it will likely be preceded by the i3 sedan in 2026 and the electric M3 in 2027.
