BMW X2 Sport Has Registered Trademark
The last report states that BMW has done the needed paper job for the X2 Sport trademark registration.
We found out in June of 2012 that the automaker registered the model’s moniker. A lot of rumours were spreading from that time. One of them was guessing whether the compact crossover will be produced with three or five doors. The Bavarian company will sell the offering in both kinds. The standard X2 will be produced with five doors and the X2 Sport will likely be manufactured with three doors.
The models will have UKL platform. Both of them will be based on the X1 of the second generation. By the way, it may stop being the automaker’s entry-level crossover since BMW seems to think about a 1-Series Sport Cross. It will probably be styled as the bigger X4 and X6 offerings. It will likely be characterized with a sloped line of the roof together with new design moments like a bigger kidney grille and awkward narrow spotlights.
The standard BMW X2 with five doors is going to be launched in three years. The model will be offered with a series of V3 and V4 gasoline and diesel powertrains. The X2 Sport will sonly follow it. There are a few rumours of a hot variant with 300 hp and a plug-in hybrid modification.
