BMW Unveils Next-Generation EVs with Unprecedented Range

Introducing BMW's Neue Klasse Models

BMW has officially revealed the details of its upcoming Neue Klasse models, showcasing their remarkable efficiency. Powered by the new Gen6 eDrive electric platform, these vehicles will offer an impressive range of up to 560 miles on a single charge. Even the least efficient models will have a minimum range of 373 miles, outperforming every other electric vehicle currently on the market.

Improved Battery Technology

The Neue Klasse models will utilize an 800-volt architecture and cylindrical cells that are directly integrated into the high-voltage battery pack. This technology allows for a 30% increase in range and charging speeds, with most models capable of gaining 186 miles of range in just 10 minutes of DC fast charging.

Expanding the Gen6 Technology

Beyond the Neue Klasse lineup, BMW plans to incorporate the Gen6 technology into other models, including M performance, Mini, and Rolls-Royce vehicles. The introduction of electric M3 and M4 models has already been confirmed.

Next Steps

The first vehicle to feature the Gen6 platform will be the iX3 electric crossover, set to debut later this year. BMW intends to introduce at least four new EVs with this technology by 2028.

Stay tuned for more information when the iX3 launches, as BMW continues to redefine the boundaries of electric mobility.
