Active Tourer from BMW 2-Series Will be Equipped with xDrive system
BMW has presented two Active Tourer offerings: the 220d xDrive and the 225i xDrive.
This is the pioneer time when the xDrive system is a part of a four-wheel drive car from BMW with edgewisely installed powertrain. The two offerings will be sold as regular ones with an automatic transmission of seven speeds.
BMW stated that the Active Tourer proved that front-wheel drive system agrees with the company’s demands in the field of driving dynamics, though the all-wheel drive technology will improve traction, stability of the car further and as to the dynamics, they have got an aim to enhance safety and pleasure of driving. The automaker tells about the additory weight of the whole all-wheel drive system and states that it is nearly 61 kg.
The 225i xDrive variant consumpts fuel approximately 6,5-6,4 1/100 km along with emission range of 152-148 g/km. The diesel 220d xDrive variant has an average consumption of 4,8-4,6 l/100km along with missions of 127-122 g/km.
