950 HP for the Audi RS6 DTM from Jon Olsson
Jon Olsson, a professional alpine skier, has unveiled a one-off Audi RS6 DTM, his latest vehicle.
The high-performance car has a very wide body inspired by DTM. The wagon has an extensive usage of carbon fibber on its wheel arches, front splitter, trunk- and roof-mounted spoilers and rear diffuser. The same type of material covers the side skirts and the roof rack.
All these characteristics do not beat the 4.0-litre eight-cylinder twin-turbo engine which got 18-karat gold anodized turbochargers. Power output was bumped from 560 hp (or 412 kW) to 950 hp (or 699 kW) when riding on standard fuel with the help of these turbochargers. The creator says that under the conditions of using race fuel the engine is able to deliver more than 1,000 hp (or 735 kW) sent to a quattro all-wheel drive system.
Jon Olsson will bring the vehicle from Stockholm on May 23 in the Gumball 3000 Rally.
