2017 Audi A7 with New Design and More Features
2017 Audi A7 will get some more changes in styling.
We remind you that the 5-door fastback received a mid-cycle refresh for this year’s line-up. Though, the automaker wants to overhaul the styling in two years. The producer wants to do this in order to differentiate the unit from the already existing vehicles in its line-up.
The Audi A7 has a hard time warranting its price on the continent. Clients see it as just a more costly variant of the Audi A5 Sportback. Besides, the model under consideration has several tangible benefits over the famous A6 Avant wagon with $5,000 less price. The German automaker wants to fix the problem. It will give the 2017 A7 unit a more distinctive outlook and more regular characteristics.
Automobile assures that the 2017 A7 will be a combination of extroverted sportiness and subtle elegance. Product planners at Audi call it a “C/D shift”. The manufacturer is planning to place the innovated C-size offering near the bigger D-size segment with the help of a stronger visual outlook. The perfect variant is seen when the C/D shift results in bigger profit even if there is no any increasing in sales.
The next Audi A7 will be a 5-door fastback, though its proportions will be changed. In the result the customers will receive a wider, lower and more costly shape. There is a chance that it will take its inspiration from the Prologue concepts. The automaker is going to change the technology from the classic MMI buttons and knobs into based on touchscreen ergonomics.
Speaking of powertrains, it must be mentioned that the offering will retain its 2.0-litre turbocharged V4 engine that is able to push out 252 hp. Besides, there also will be a 326-hp hybrid version. The performance of the next A7 will be boosted to almost 500 hp. It will come from its 3.0-litre turbocharged six-cylinder. Meanwhile, thankfully to e-boost, the most powerful six-cylinder diesel unit will generate nearly 350 hp. The Audi RS7, which will stop at the top of the range, will be equipped with an eight-cylinder engine producing almost 757 hp.
