Arden has upgraded Range Rover to 650 HP
Arden, the German tuner, has shown an upgraded package for the Range Rover having the 5.0-litre eight-cylinder supercharged engine.
Having the regular configuration, the V8 engine produces 510 hp (or 375 kW) and torque of 625 Nm (or 461 lb-ft). All this has not prevented Arden from tweaking the engine to generate an additional 138 hp (or 101 kW) and torque of 129 Nm (or 89 lb-ft). The additional oomph was created with the help of an installed custom supercharger created from high-alloyed aluminium together with a remapped ECU along with a specially created exhaust system. The last one can boast a sport catalytic converter.
In the result, the model is able to deliver 650 hp (or 478 kW) and torque of 745 Nm (or 549 lb-ft). The new package also covers enhancing the electronic top speed limiter to 260 km/h (161.5 mph). A full body kit is available together with a set of 22-inch alloy wheels.
There is no information about acceleration performance from a standstill. Though, the newly developed offering is expected to be faster than the regular offering. It takes the last one only 5.1 seconds for a 0 to 60 mph (or 96 km/h) sprint.
