New T-ROC Crossover from Volkswagen

T-ROC concept has debuted at this year’s Geneva show supporting the brand’s plans of widening the range of all-terrain cars.

Modular platform of MBQ kind served as a prototype for the concept. Apart from that, T-ROC looks a lot like its older brother Volkswagen Golf. The vehicle uses a four-wheel drive powered by a turbo engine with four cylinders and the displacement of 2.0 litres pushing 184 hp and torque of 280 lb-ft. Chances are high that the crossover will occupy the niche below the future Tiguan.

The German carmaker equipped its new concept with a split roof and put it on wheels 19 inches in diameter. Despite its uniqueness, T-ROC seems to precede the era of brand’s future design language.
