Kia Lowers 2026 Seltos Starting Price with New Entry-Level Option

As the average cost of new vehicles approaches $50,000, many buyers are opting for more cost-effective options. To cater to this trend, Kia has revamped the 2026 Seltos lineup by introducing a new base trim, resulting in a $1,000 decrease in the starting price.

The base model, the Seltos LX FWD, is now available starting at $25,085, inclusive of the $1,395 destination charge. In contrast, all other trims see a $200 increase in their pricing, with the highest-end SX AWD trim priced from $32,785. This top-tier variant is well-equipped with numerous standard features.

Trim Level Pricing Comparison

  • Seltos LX FWD: $25,085
  • Seltos LX AWD: $26,285 (+$200)
  • Seltos S FWD: $26,785 (+$200)
  • Seltos S AWD: $28,285 (+$200)

The SX trim comes equipped with LED lighting, 18-inch alloy wheels, a power liftgate, wireless charging, premium Bose audio, and a 10.25-inch infotainment system as standard. Additionally, buyers can opt for upgrades like a dual 10.25-inch screen setup and heated seats.

Engine and Features

The SX trim is the only variant equipped with a robust 190-horsepower turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine, as the previously available 2025 Seltos X-Line trim has been discontinued for the 2026 model year. The remaining 2026 Seltos models continue to utilize a 147-horsepower 2.0-liter engine.

All trims come with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, featuring an 8.0-inch touchscreen in the LX. The S and EX trims upgrade to a 10.25-inch display, mirroring the setup found in the SX.

Kia has not yet announced the exact availability date of the 2026 Seltos at dealerships, but it is expected to arrive soon.
