The Kia Niro Tri-Fuel: Breaking Barriers with a Unique Hybrid

A Unique Hybrid with a Massive Range

If you want a reliable vehicle for long trips without the fear of running out of fuel, a hybrid is the way to go. And now, the Kia Niro Tri-Fuel is taking it to the next level by smashing the 1,000-mile barrier. This electrified compact crossover offers a range that most electric vehicles can only dream of.

Running on Multiple Fuels

The Niro Tri-Fuel isn't your average hybrid. In addition to the traditional gas tank, it also comes equipped with a liquified petroleum gas (LPG) tank. This unique feature allows the Niro Tri-Fuel to cover extensive distances, thanks to its combined fuel storage capacity.

Unmatched Performance and Efficiency

The Niro Tri-Fuel boasts a 1.6-liter engine that can run on LPG, supported by an electric motor and a 1.32-kWh battery pack. This powerful combination delivers an impressive total system output of 126 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque.

With reduced CO2 emissions and exceptional fuel efficiency, this hybrid sets a new standard for eco-friendly vehicles. In fact, it's the first full-hybrid that can also run on LPG in Italy.

Cost Savings and Warranty

The conversion to LPG is performed by BRC, a reputable gas equipment company. Despite the modification, the Niro Tri-Fuel still comes with a full seven-year / 93,205-mile warranty. Plus, owners can save up to €5,000 ($5,410) on refueling costs. While the initial price may be higher, the long-term savings make it a worthwhile investment.

Pricing and Availability

The Kia Niro Tri-Fuel is available in various trim levels, with the base model starting at €34,450 ($37,300) and the flagship trim priced at €39,200 ($42,400). This unique hybrid is breaking barriers and redefining what a hybrid can do.
